Make no mistake, it used to be if you wanted to know anything about rallye, you were told by some of the old guard rallye experts that you had to go to one of their paid training events.

None of those guys shared much of anything useful, unless of course you paid them for it, now they're amazed (and want to take credit for) how far it's progressed in America.

They're still out there trying to make a buck, telling anyone that will listen if you want to be a real racer, just like in Dakar you need to buy this, or buy that, spend a thousand dollars or more (from their incestuous buddy) just to try the sport. Oh yeah and they forget to tell you up front that all that pricey gear, it's useless for anything else.

Most of us were on our own and started to band together and develop our own stuff, it went from no sharing of information under the old guard, to what it is now, and to be clear it is not with any of their help or consent, but in spite of it.
